Our mission on this camp was to restore ponds to save a salamander species named the great crested newt (harivesilik). This camp was an international camp, I went alone at this camp and Maxime stayed in Tartu. Our accommodation place was next to Võru in this beautiful house! There were people from many countries: Belgium, Russia, Spain...

The ponds need to be open so that there would be enough sunlight and oxygen.

On the working days we did different stuff. Some people were opening the landscape by cutting the trees around the swamps, while some others were going into the water to remove many plants.

And to finish we were burning all these plants and trees.
